Outfit Of The Day (Faux Fur And Yellow Pumps And Tiger Faces, Oh My!)

Here I am!  Again!  Kinda!
Colorado had its first blast of winter this weekend, with about 5 inches of (extremely) heavy snow.  Blah!  Gross!  I’m so not ready for this!

Except..I kind of am ready for this.  It’s always fun hauling out winter sweaters, coats, and jackets and wearing them for the first time, isn’t it? Whether it’s for the first time ever…or simply the first time in a few months, it’s fun to have some “new” pieces to play with.
As brilliantly captured by all of the faces I’m making below, cougggghhh:

Sweater: Madewell Bird’s-Eye Pullover (buy it here) (similar style here) (and here by Elizabeth and James) (and here for $39.60)
Tank: American Eagle Outfitters (similar style here) (similar style here at Banana Republic) (and here for $12)
Pants: Old Ann Taylor (similar style here) (and here at J Crew) (and here for $39.60)
Coat: Topshop (buy it here) (similar style here in black) (and another rusty-hued coat here)
Belt: J Crew (buy it here in bright cobalt)
Bracelet: c/o Kendra Scott Audra Bracelet (similar style here)
Bag: Marc Jacobs Cooper Crossbody in Nude (buy it here) (similar style here) (and here for $59.40)
Pumps: Manolo Blahnik Uliepe Pumps (similar style here at J Crew) (and here for $45.50)
Speaking of some new pieces–how pretty is the Audra bracelet from Kendra Scott? I had been searching high and low for something to soothe my obsessive compulsive freaky-matchy-matchy matchiness go with my yellow pumps–and I had nearly given up. This bracelet is perfect! And while it appears to be no longer available to purchase online, the Petra bracelet is similar or you can head over to the (overwhelmingly huge) color bar to design your own.
And finally–here is a continuation with my little blast from the past. Did you know that Homemade Knitted Tiger Face Sweaters come with an invisible cloak of bravery?

And a really bad perm. That’s all I have.

ugh. you may hate the snow but i'd love a bit of your cold weather down here (still in the 90's! hooray! gross.)

i really love the warm colors that you seem to gravitate to. i used to only buy cool colors but now, thanks in part to you, i've been grabbing more orange/rust/pecan-y hues. ♥

  • Abby

That color (the sweater) looks beautiful on you!

  • Annabelle

I can't believe you guys have snow already! I was wearing shorts yesterday and this is the cold hard North! At least you have fur to fab it up with…

  • Bourbon&Pearls

Snow already? Swathe your ankles in fur too!

  • RosaLovesDC

OMG, that picture of you girls as kids, amazing!
And what??? 5 inches of snow? That's not right Colorado, it's still October.
At least you look super fashionable as always. :)

  • Bravoe Runway

OMG girl…I busted out laughing when I saw your first pose! Seriously 5" of snow….already? Atleast I hear it melts fast in Denver, in Chicago…well once the snow hits we're doomed until April! I had a perm like that in the 6th grade…and that sweater..it's pretty awesome, I had a similar one with tweety :)

  • Marina

after a day of dealing with car insurance claims and health insurance applications, this tiger sweater is exactly what i needed. THANKS!!!

  • The Little Dust Princess

I love that Topshop coat! I actually wanted to purchase it, but it wasn't warm enough and I thought it wasn't worth it for the price. It looks great on you!!

  • skippysays

That rusty orange color looks amazing on you! And those shoes…oh those shoes :)

I love to pull out my sweaters, tights, and boots too! But I am also just as happy to put them away and pull out all my summer stuff. It's nice to be able to change up your wardrobe a couple times a year because of the weather. At least we can't get bored of anything!

I would not be happy if I had snow already, but we're still clear here in Indiana! I have a pair of yellow flats that look a lot like those – I always gets lots of comments. Love them!!

  • alison*elle

I can't believe it's snowing there already – craziness. You look adorable in those pictures… love your rusty coloured coat with the FUR TRIM (I LOVE FUR TRIM).

You could wear a paper bag and look adorable. Loving that color on you and perfect for Fall.

  • Stacey

Love the fall colors!! I can't believe you have snow already, that's so crazy! You dress so cute for the snow though, I normally have to resort to 100 layers and wellies

Love that Madewell sweater….although the tiger one is pretty awesome too!;)
I can't believe you guys already have snow! So crazy!

  • Sethrin

Sooo happy when I opened Reader and there it was – OOTD by Chloe! Lovely as always!

  • Bee

Omg. I swear that I had the exact same sweater as your sister in that picture! I feel nostalgic now….:).
Love the fur in your outfit!

  • quite contrary

That belt looks amazing. I would love to get it in blue and orange and wear them together :D

Fortunately for me, I'm heading away from winter. It's still way too cold for shorts or skirts without thick tights, but I am enthusiastically swapping my four layers of jerseys for just two! Maybe it'll even reach one layer soon.

Ooh…Mum suggested I try a perm as my next hairstyle…but I don't know if that's quite the look I'd be going for (though I'd love the Homemade Knitted Tiger Face Sweater™). You wouldn't have had a perm when older that looked a little more grown up that you could show me pictures of, would you?

  • Ally

I have the Marc Jacobs Cooper and love it! The only thing I'm not loving is the strap. Do you have to constantly fiddle with the double strap so that they're touching each other? If that makes sense..
