Outfit Of The Yesterday: Sparkle & Shine (+ A Few Things That I Grabbed During Black Friday)

♫:  Three White Horses Andrew Bird

This past weekend was Black Friday/Cyber Monday/That-Day-Where-The-Rest-Of-The-World-Rightfully-Questions-Both-Our-Sanity-And-Eligibility-To-Be-A-Super-Power-Since-We-Can’t-Seem-To-Control-Ourselves-In-A-Classy-Manner-Over-$1-Bath-Towels, and since I cover many of the sales here on this blog it can be a little hard to not feel a little tempted by some of the deals that pop up.

While I grabbed quite a few holiday gifts to give (none of which will be posted here because I know who reads this, you family & friends), I did also find a few things to add to my own wardrobe for fall and winter, too.  Better yet? They were all were on sale (albeit a few of the items were on markdown only temporarily):

1. theory jethra peplum top - nordstrom 2. haute hippie drape blouse - singer22 3. alice & olivia audra top - last call neiman marcus 4. vero moda textured woven mini skirt - ASOS 6. tory burch 'calista' boots - neiman marcus 6. tory burch 'calista' boots - neiman marcus 5. kate spade new york arm candy clutch - nordstrom 7. j crew collection janey snakeskin flats - j crew 7. j crew collection janey snakeskin flats - j crew 8. ciate 'spending spree' nail polish - nordstrom

 (1. theory jethra peplum top) (2. haute hippie drape blouse) (3. alice + olivia audra top) (4. vero moda textured woven mini) (5. kate spade new york ‘arm candy’ clutch) (6. tory burch calista boots/more colors & on sale, too) (7. j crew collection janey snakeskin flats) (8. ciate nail paint pot in ‘spending spree’)

…good stuff! What kind of steals & deals did you guys score this past weekend?

And on to an outfit featuring three of the items above. Most you probably know that I am a straight-up gold (or rose gold) girl, so I am always a little hesitant to throw silver into the mix. I don’t own a lot of it, and rumor has it mixing metals can be tricky.

Whiiiiiich is exactly why I gravitated towards the Vero Moda skirt that I am wearing below. It has strips of gold, silver, black, and bronze, so it pairs well with a wide variety of items. It does run true to size, perhaps even a little bit large–in case you want to grab it for yourself. I had originally sized up one size in the skirt to account for the length/eating-too-many-Christmas-cookies, but had to send it back because I could wiggle out of it without unzipping the zipper. Yikes. It’s a great little skirt, though, and will no doubt be popping up a lot in my future outfits:
