♫: Rescue Song (RAC Remix) – Mr. Little Jeans
Holy moly, how is it already December? And so close to Christmas! Do you guys have your Christmas shopping done yet? I still have a little bit left to do, but since my side of the family opted to only do stocking stuffers this year (and a donation to a family in need in lieu of big gifts for ourselves), it has been pretty darn easy. I have been working on a gift guide with a few of my favorite little gifts to give, though, in case you still have some shopping left to do and need some ideas. It will be up on the blog sometime in the next few days–so stay tuned.
Moving on, moving on. I picked up a few things from the Neiman Marcus x Target collection that launched last Saturday, including the Oscar de la Renta pet bowls and the Altuzarra tray. I am pleasantly surprised with the overall quality of this collection–the bowls are ceramic with a gorgeous lace/floral design; the tray has a subtle sexiness to it, with gold accents on the handle and a faux alligator embossed bottom covered in glass.
And on to an outfit. I grabbed the Haute Hippie Drape Front Blouse over Black Friday weekend while Singer 22 was doing an extra 40% off on sale items. I had been oogling the blouse for awhile–my much beloved GAP nude blouse has been worn nearly to shreds over the past year, and I needed a good replacement.
It’s an interesting top. It is big, really big–especially in the mid-section. I had a feeling it would be due to the banded waist that helps the blouse keep its shape and “drape”, but because of this I’m not sure how often I will be wearing it untucked.
This top was really meant to be tucked into skirts and high-waisted trousers, I think, and for that I really love it. It is still on sale over at Singer 22 (plus an extra 40% off with code “40MORE”), for a limited time only.
