Outfit Of The Yesterday: Mauve + Yellow + Coral + Aqua Blue

♫: Shelter Song – Temples

First things first. I would just like to say that we are sending all of our thoughts (and prayers) to Boston at the moment. Since Colorado is a state full of freaky-health-fools (me being one of them, sometimes), I know how much the Boston marathon means to Bostonians, athletes, and athletic-lovers alike. The marathon is such a global event, a happy event that celebrates strength through fitness and endurance, camaraderie with participants and spectators from all over the world, and granola (chafing creams) by the box full—may it continue to be that way in spite of the tragic events. Like one really smart dude once said: courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear–not absence of fear. Stay strong, Boston.

Not much else to say. I craving a little bit o’bright color, so ta da:

Your outfit is gorgeous. I’d have never thought about the yellow sequin belt combo! I just got a gorgeous taupe von vonni dress and it came with a simple black ribbon belt. i’ll be on the lookout for a yellow sequin belt replacement! :)

Love the dress! The pleats are really great.

  • Also across the Atlantic we are shocked and saddened about what happened in Boston. I am close to several active runners including my daughter.

These soft colours are made for you! You are so talented in combining them. Gorgeous look!

I’m about to go over there and steal that coat, it’s gorgeous! & I’ve been thinking so much about Boston… it hurts my heart, really. I don’t think anything has ever made me so angry that someone would be sick enough to go and do this at the finish line, to do this to people who have been training for weeks and months and days, who have been running for 26 frickin miles. But all of the stories of kindness has certainly restored my faith in humanity & in believing that good will always win! :)

On a brighter note, I’m giving a birthday box of favorite things over on my blog & would be so thrilled if you played! :)

  • A sequin belt?! That is amazing! So sad it wasn’t a current purchase though or I would buy it in a heartbeat! And everytime you wear this coat I regret not buying it :)

  • I have just been so sad since Monday, I love Boston and it was always a dream of mine to run the Boston Marathon (I was a long distance runner for many years). I am just so upset that this happened.
