Outfit Of The Yesterday: Pep-Pep-Peplums + Flippy Skirts

♫:  Escapee – Architecture in Helsinki

I had been on the hunt for a good flippy/frilly/drop-waist skirt for awhile now–ever since spying them on Stella McCartney’s F/W 2012 runway. They are fun and different shape to play with, and flattering for a fairly wide variety of body types too–mini skirt lovers get the tightness on top while a-line skirt lovers get the ruffle on the bottom.  Hi-five.

So I was happy when this one finally popped up on Zara about a week ago. It’s a really cute skirt in person–the fabric is thick enough to hide lumps and bumps, and the colorblocking helps to draw attention away from “problem” areas (like the hips). It does run small, though, and I had to size up one size.

Hope you guys have a great weekend, and I’ll catch you guys on the flip side. ;)
