Hello again readers! I hope you have all been having a safe and happy summer so far. We have officially hit the time of year in Colorado where it’s deathly hot during the day, with a good chance for a late afternoon (rainless) storm or two to sweep through, leaving behind cooler temperatures, small wildfires, and thick, smokey air in their wake. 

My contact lenses also feel like they are going to shrivel up and fall right out of my eyeballs after only about four hours of wearing, but I digress. It is beautiful here in Crispy Colorado! So beautiful that you don’t even need to be able to properly see out of your contact lenses to know how beautiful it really is. 

So come visit!

You cannot stay. The traffic on I-25 and the line to get into The Cherry Cricket are already insane.

Aside from that, it has been a pretty relaxing summer in our household so far. We have started to book out appointments with local interior designers to finish the remodel of the rest of our home, which has been an interesting little process to go through. And highly entertaining–more on that in a bit. 

I picked up the Anthropologie Sidra necklace recently and it is perhaps one of my favorite purchases this year. I love a good statement necklace, and I find myself wanting to wear it constantly. Aside from being gorgeous (and a steal at under $100) it’s a great and easy little way to dress up necklines of blouses, tees, and dresses.

I am also wearing a dress I picked up at Lou & Grey earlier this summer–which I wish was still available. It is ridiculously soft, comfortable, and has pockets. I have been on a real run with finding cute dresses from Lou & Grey, and I picked this adorable dress up last week during their big Fourth of July Sale–I’ll hopefully do a review of it on the blog soon!
