Outfit Of The Yesterday: The Zadig & Voltaire White Ranil Dress

There is something impractically practical about a pretty little white dress, isn’t there? I tend to shy away from white since I am a bit of a spaz, but when I spied the Zadig & Voltaire Ranil dress at the Shopbop sale I decided to make a splurge. It’s machine washable, which is awesome for a klutzy little clowns (like me!). And it’s just so pretty. The cotton voile gives the dress some structure, and the pleated skirt flutters and floats as it moves. It also has an adjustable drawstring waist (with two beaded fringe pulls) to help give the dress some shape. Good stuff.

I snapped these outfit photos before we got walloped with a major snowstorm last weekend, but you can see a storm brewing in the skies behind me. We’ll be escaping the wacky cold-weather soon, however–my husband planned a secret trip for us to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary next month, and he finally spilled the beans on where we are headed: Curaçao! I’m excited. I think. I know nothing of the island, except that we are staying at the Baoase resort & it looks super colorful and pretty. I’m officially counting down the days…
