(TREND WATCH) In Mint Condition

 One quick look at the runway for s/s 2012 and you’ll notice a certain color scheme popping up everywhere: pastels!  Pastels are set to be big for this next season, with mint & seafoam-y greens dominantly taking the lead. Here are 22 of my favorite top picks + a few fresh tips on how to wear these colors, too!

TREND WATCH: MINTY BLUES & GREENS

What you need to know: These super pretty colors are flattering to most and can range from from a yellowy-green to a bluer hue; those that have yellow or extremely fair undertones in their skin might want to stick with the bluer tones, while those with neutral or darker skin tones will often look best with the yellower hues. This isn’t set in stone, of course, but if you do choose the wrong shade you’ll know it immediately, as it can often make you look sick or sullen.  Having a tough time finding the right color for you?  Try  incorporating these colors into your outfits with in a more minimal way with handbags, belts, and shoes.

Minty blues and  greens pair well with tons of colors–from camels to rusts to oranges to dusty pinks, darker grays, yellows, and taupes.  My own  favorite way to wear it is with rusty orange and mustard yellow! This color is gorgeous and super feminine, so don’t be afraid to pair it with tougher/more masculine pieces as a fun balance, too.  Happy styling!
