I can’t lie, I was pretty excited when oxblood and wine-y hues started to pop up for the Fall 2012 season. I had always wanted a bright red coat in my arsenal, but given that I tend to have a naturally red face, it can sometimes be a very difficult color to pull off.
Enter red’s much more gorgeous & grown-up cousin (sorry red), however, and we have deal. Not only are these colors much more versatile and flattering to a wider variety of skin types, but they pair well with an assortment of colors. Pair these burgundy hues with black & gray to keep your look sophisticated, or try throwing in a few neon hues (like yellow or coral) to help brighten it up:
