Outfit Of The Yesterday: Ruffles + Rips (& In Review: Awesome Jeggings Under $25)

I recently discovered American Eagle Outfitter’s jeggings and holy smokes–where have they been all my life? Not only are they really comfortable, but they come in lots of assorted rises, washes, rips, and inseams. They are also currently just $23 with code “952367P1” (and all orders ship for free, no minimum through September 1st), making them a pretty great bargain at the moment, too.

I am wearing the regular jeggings in “black slash” below (see them here). They fit fairly true to size (I’m wearing a size 2 short–the same size I wear in LOFT denim) and they have plenty of stretch to them, which is awesome. It seems like lots of jeggings have either too much stretch (saggy butt by noon!) or not enough; and while my husband thinks the stiff-legged waddle that I do for the first 60 minutes after I fetch certain pairs of jeggings out of the dryer is hysterical, I am happy to say that the AEO jeggings are pretty much perfect–no hoisting or waddling required.

I have actually bought several assorted pairs and styles, and while I really like the jeggings that I am wearing below I love the “hi-rise” jegging (see them here) and “sky high” jeggings (see them here) even more–I’ll have a review up of them soon!

So just a casual little outfit for today featuring the new jeggings & one of my favorite old Ann Taylor tops. There are lots of great deals and big sales this weekend as retailers are trying to make room for fall and winter inventory, and I’ve been busy tracking them all here.
