Outfit Of The Yesterday: The LOFT Jeweled Denim Skirt + A Karen Millen Cape

Long time no post! I have been trying to snap more photos of what I have been wearing lately to post on the blog, so here we go. The weather here has been warm-warm-warm–close to 70 degrees today (which usually means that, more than likely, we’re about to get what’s coming to us in February & March…and April…and May), so I’ve been making good use of the spring-like weather now to wear a few spring-like things.

The heavily-jeweled trend has been around for a bit, and while I’ve always liked the look I had yet to invest in the trend myself. I couldn’t resist the Jeweled Denim Skirt from LOFT’s recent new arrivals, though–I love the mix of deconstructed denim with pretty, super feminine embellishments. Believe it or not, I have also never owned a denim skirt–so I killed two birds with one big shiny, twinkly stone. The skirt is currently 40% off (through 1/27, no code required!) and fits pretty big (I sized down one size and could have easily done another if I wanted it to be more fitted–it’s quite stretchy), but all in all, it’s a great little purchase. It’s machine washable, too–bonus.
