Outfit Of The Yesterday: Good Pearings (J Crew’s Pear Sweater)
♫: Everybody’s Waiting For The Man With The Bag (Holidays Rule) – Black Ford & Sallie Ford
I fell in love with J Crew’s Pear Sweater when it first appeared online a few weeks ago. Cheeky sweaters have been popping up all over this fall and winter (from polka dots, to hearts, to foxes, to more foxes, and even more foxes, to foxes wearing crowns, and to foxes disguised as a raccoon that has a problem with iron deficiency), and they can be fun to wear both dressed up with dressy trousers and skirts; or dressed down with a pair of chinos or jeans.
J Crew has been running lots of promotions this month for the holidays, and so I grabbed the sweater during one of their latest sales. It is cozy and soft, and the pear is actually woven into the sweater instead of just glued or sewn on so it should hopefully wear well without fading, cracking, or falling off.
The sweater itself is a little on the thin side, but that also gives it some versatility to be worn through the spring, too. It runs TTS (I’m wearing an x-small below), and if you want to grab it for yourself you can currently take 25% off and get free shipping on all orders $100+ at J Crew (but only thru tonight!).
