Outfit Of The Yesterday: Blue + Brown + Black & White (Archi-texture)

♫: Good Intent – Kimbra

I think that the one thing I am loving most for fall 2012 is the amount of rich, supple texture that all new clothes seem to be suddenly (boldly) boasting. It isn’t the usual tweeds, wools, and bouclés for this season, oh no. The ante has been upped with suedes, snakes, sequins, leathers, hair calfs, velvets, and more–and mixing them with blouses and tops already hanging in your closet is a fun little way to give old pieces new life.

While I paired the Silence & Noise Faux Suede Pencil Skirt with an old silk Banana Republic blouse below, once the weather cools a bit more this skirt will also be easy to match up with chunky sweaters, cozy cardigans, and whatever else fits my little fancy. It’s super stretchy and comfy, too–always a great bonus, mmhm.
