(Outfit Of The Yesterday) Snow Leopard + Blush Pink + Mustard Yellow + Chambray (& Ann Taylor’s Liz Zipper Hair Calf Heels + J Crew’s Pleated Lace Skirt)

Whew, that title is a mouthful. As I posted on instagram a few days ago, I knew there was a reason why I was drawn to Ann Taylor’s spotted print that’s been popping up all over in their Fall 2014 collection; I just didn’t really know why until I saw the Liz Zipper Hair Calf Heels in person and had a good look at them. A really good look at them. They match my Emerson Fry Leopard Wingtip Coat perfectly. It’s like they were made for that coat! Freaky.

So with that mind-bending revelation, the heels had to come home with me. They run a touch big (I had to swap my usual size 7 for a size 6-1/2), and they’re also nicely padded which makes them easy on the feet. They also come in a kitten heel & a flat, in case high heels aren’t your thing. And while the coat that I am wearing below is no longer available, Ann Taylor also has a blouse and a belt in the same spot print too–in case you’re looking to add some coordination to your closet in a different sort of way. You can take 25% off on all of these pieces when you spend $100+ at Ann Taylor and use code “ANNWELCOME11”, limited time only.

I added the J Crew Pleated Lattice Skirt (currently 25% off w/ code “STYLETIME” and ships for free!) to my closet recently as well, and it’s a beautiful skirt! Pastels are a big trend for this winter (I have been a little obsessed with Gucci’s Fall/Winter 2014 collection) and I absolutely love “fit & flare” shaped skirts–but they can be a bit tricky to wear, especially if the fabric is thin and too clingy in the “fit” part.

Thankfully, it’s not a problem here–this skirt is nicely lined and the lattice pleating camouflages and really sucks and holds everything in. It’s the perfect little twirly skirt. As the website reviews note, it does run a bit big–I’m wearing my usual size (0) and it’s a little loose around the waist. But with winter comfort foods & bulky sweater weather right around the corner, I decided to stick with it. The skirt also doesn’t come in petite, but it’s a good length nonetheless–I definitely wouldn’t want it any shorter.
