Outfit Of The Yesterday: Black + Pink + Green

Another quick outfit for today! We’re currently at a kind of lull in life, which I am totally okay with. One of the frustrating things about dealing with Lupus is how energy-draining it can be as a disease. I’m photosensitive, so the sun tends to impact me and trigger flares–which is a bummer when it comes to the summertime and tropical vacations. I always go in knowing that I need to be diligent in staying out of the sun, staying covered while in the sun, wearing a hat, and applying sunblock religiously (this stuff is my summer favorite for SPF body protection, by the way)–but it’s impossible to avoid all of the warm and toasty rays of that big ball of fire. Well, I take that back. It’s impossible if I still want to have any semblance of a joyful or adventurous life.  Because I love the sun! And I hate the sight of blood. I would make a terrible vampire.

But even though I snapped these photos right as the sun was setting, it was still so hot that my sunglasses kept sliding down mah face. Which is no small feat–one of the fanciest features of my face is that I definitely have a nose big enough to keep most sunglasses hanging squarely where they need to be. Oof. It was hot.
